About Suzan Pecyna

Suzan Pecyna was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1967. She moved to the Netherlands aged 35 as a Senior Consultant with the Fifth Business for Shell in the Hague.

After a stimulating project in the Group CIO office in Shell, followed by several months of travel to BP European sites for European Desktop Transformation project Suzan commuted to London for the Advanced Collaborative Environments project for BP.

After two years she reluctantly resigned her post at Fifth Business and started madison ifm, a communications advice bureau. Her husband had by this time embarked on a career with Fugro in Leidschendam and it seemed polite to follow him for a change.

Since her first communications role in 1989 (industrial editor for a national chain of department stores in the UK), Suzan has owned an advertising agency, worked as a consultant and travelled extensively on business in Europe, the Middle East and the USA.

In addition to madison ifm’s core business of communication advice to support change, strategy and social media development, Suzan is a lecturer, guest speaker and mentor.

Suzan is married to Laurie and has one child, a son named Brandon.
